Seawall & Bulkhead Repair in Mexico Beach, FL

Panama City Seawall repairs and replaces seawalls in Mexico Beach, Florida. This small Gulf-front town at the east edge of Bay County took the very center of Hurricane Michael in 2018, and its shoreline is still rebuilding.

Mexico Beach was ground zero for Michael, a Category 5 landfall that leveled much of the town and its waterfront structures. Seawalls and bulkheads here face the open Gulf, not a sheltered bay, so they take real wave energy and surge, and the walls that survived or were rebuilt in a hurry are the ones we look at now: scoured toes, cracked panels, and caps working loose.

Gulf exposure changes the wall. An open-Gulf seawall needs a deeper toe, stronger anchoring, and often a heavier riprap revetment to armor the toe against surge, rather than a light bay wall. We build to the energy this shoreline actually takes, in vinyl sheet pile, rock, or both, not a foam injection sold as a shortcut.

Seawall work in Mexico Beach runs through the Florida Department of Environmental Protection, the Army Corps, and Bay County, with coastal construction control line review where it applies on the Gulf. We handle the permit side for what we build.
