The Cove is one of Panama City's oldest and most established waterfront neighborhoods, its tree-lined streets backing onto Massalina Bayou and St Andrews Bay. The homes here have character and age, and so do many of their seawalls.
Older Walls on a Historic Bayou
A neighborhood this established has seawalls that have done their time, and the common Cove call is an older concrete-and-timber wall reaching the end of its life: a cap spalling as its steel rusts, a wall leaning toward the bayou, a tie-back let go. Michael's surge in 2018 pushed many of them past saving.
Repair or Rebuild, Done Right
Where a wall can be saved we repair the cap, reset the anchors, and rebuild the toe. Where it is past saving we replace it in vinyl sheet pile with a concrete cap that matches the neighborhood's look. We are a marine contractor, not a foam-injection franchise, so the repair is in the wall.
